Monograph Dedicated to Arben Bajo: A Reflection on the Life and Work of the Renowned Albanian Sculptor

A remarkable new monograph in the form of a catalog, dedicated to the life and work of renowned Albanian sculptor Arben Bajo, has just been published in Albanian. This substantial volume, spanning 420 pages, offers an in-depth look at Bajo’s artistic creation, combining a thorough analysis of his works with a personal exploration of his life and artistic philosophy.

The book begins with an introductory and explanatory text that helps readers understand the different dimensions of Bajo’s work, while also emphasizing his close connection to mythology and Albanian culture. An important component of the publication includes interviews with the artist himself, offering insights and reflections from Arben Bajo about his work and life, creating an open dialogue with the audience.

In addition to the interviews and curatorial texts by Prof. Gazmend Leka, a close friend and consultant for the publication, the majority of the book (around 80%) is dedicated to the catalog of Bajo’s works. Numerous pieces are described in chronological order, offering a deeper understanding of his artistic evolution and the changes in his style over the years.

This publication is a true treasure for those interested in learning more about one of Albania’s most prominent sculptors, allowing readers to explore his creations within a broader and more intricate context, while preserving the historical and cultural significance of his body of work.
